Dr Paul Golby has been Chief Executive of E.ON UK since 2002, having joined the company in 1998. He is also also a non executive director of AEA Technology (the commercial arm of the Atomic Energy Authority), and a member of the Energy Research Partnership and the Nuclear Development Forum making him a key nuclear energy lobbyist and beneficiary. The Times estimated his earnings to be around £1 million per year in 2008.[1]

Prior to this he held a series of management appointments with Dunlop and BTR before becoming an executive director of Clayhithe plc in 1992.

According to E.ON's website as of November 2009:

He is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Energy Institute Council and a member of the Energy Research Partnership.
