The National Clandestine Service (NCS) is the clandestine arm of the Central Intelligence Agency and coordinates clandestine operations across the US Intelligence Community.[1]

The NCS was created on 13 October 2005. Its role was previously played by the Directorate of Plans from 1952 to 1973, and by the Directorate of Operations from 1973 to 2005.[2]
