The Marcus Foundation (EIN: 58-1815651) is a grant making foundation which supports a number of Jewish and pro-Israel causes. The chairman of the foundation's board is Bernard (Bernie) Marcus, co-founder and former CEO of Home Depot. Marcus is also the founder of the Israel Democracy Institute. His profile on the homepage of the IDI describes the foundation's foci as being: 'Jewish causes, children, medical research, free enterprise, and the community'. [1]

The Marcus Foundation is a major donor to the US based Friends of the Israel Defense Forces, the US body that sends funds to the Israeli Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers. Between 2002-2012 the foundation donated $3,031,800 to the FIDF.[2]
