  • Graduate in law, University of Cagliari (1985).
  • Became a qualified legal practitioner in 1990.
  • Christian Democratic Party (DC) activist from an early age.
  • Member of the Lula Municipal Executive (Province of Nuoro) with responsibility for social services (1988-1992).
  • Mayor of Lula (2002-2007).
  • Member of the Sardinian Regional Council's Committee on Equal Opportunities (1995-2001).
