Ian Blair is the former Metropolitan Police Commissioner.[1]
He was awarded a peerage in the dissolution honours list on 28 May 2010.[2]
Ian Blair was Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police when Jean Charles De Menezes was killed at Stockwell Tube Station and the Forest Gate Raid, in which a man was shot and wounded, took place.
Declared interests
In November 2014 the Wall Street Journal noted that in early August 2014 Blair had declared in the House of Lords register of interests his outside role as chairman of Blue Light Global Solutions, a consultancy in relation to policing and security, nationally and internationally.[3]Blair's deleted this role from the register on 23 October 2014, as well as his role as a specialist adviser on security and policing to GHT-Global Ltd.[4]
