Iain Gray (born 7 June 1957) is a Scottish politician, currently a Labour Party Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for East Lothian. Torness nuclear power station, which has operated since 1988, is based in his constituency.

Pro-nuclear activities

In May 2013 Gray and EDF Energy's managing director nuclear generation Andy Spurr launched a new visitor centre at Torness. It was the first time Torness has been open to the public since 9/11.

The visitor centre is part of EDF Energy's strategy to increase transparency on the issue of nuclear power stations in the UK. A similar facility at the Hunterston B nuclear site opened in August 2013. [1]
