The Directorate of Intelligence is the arm of the Central Intelligence Agency responsible for intelligence analysis.[1]

Deputy Director for Intelligence

The first Deputy Director for Intelligence was established effective 1 Jan 1952. The title was changed from Deputy Director for Intelligence to Director, National Foreign Assessment Center (NFAC) effective 11 October 1977. The title was changed back to Deputy Director for Intelligence effective 4 Jan 1982.
