Background

The CAS Restoration Partnership is an international consortium of US firm CH2M Hill, French nuclear firm Areva and Serco, which is bidding to become a Parent Body Organisation (PBO) for nuclear decommissioning firms Magnox and Research Sites Restoration.

In 2013 it entered the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority's (NDA) competition for one of the UK's largest public contracts, worth £7billion contract over 14 years.

CAS was one of four groups that submitted a final bid in October to become the next Parent Body Organisation (PBO) that will oversee management of decommissioning activities at 12 UK historic nuclear sites, currently run by Magnox and Research Sites Restoration. [1]
