Brussels-based think tank the European Muslim Network is chaired by Tariq Said Ramadan, a Swiss Muslim academic and theologian.
A professor of contemporary Islamic studies at Oxford University, Ramadan advocates a reinterpretation of Islamic texts, and emphasizes the heterogeneous nature of Islamic society.
