Ian Paisley Junior and the lobbying scandal
Ian Paisley Jr resigned from his post as a minister in the Northern Ireland Office at Stormont in February 2008 in the wake of revelations that he was employed as a research assistant by his father and received a salary from the UK Parliament. It was reported in August 2008 that the complaint which led to his resignation had been dismissed.
