Christoph Lövenich of pro-tobacco lobby group Netzwerk Rauchen

Christoph Lövenich (born 1978) is a supporter of Netzwerk Rauchen and was formerly on the federal executive (national chairman, previously national manager) Netzwerk Rauchen the German chapter of Forces International(2006-2008).[1] Between 2008-2009 he was a Board Member (Director) of The International Coalition Against Prohibition (TICAP) and on its board of advisors. In 2008 he became CEO Rauchen NRW[1]

He obtained a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Bonn University (Germany).[2] He is described as a 'libertarian', and 'former long-time active member of Alliance 90/The Greens.'[1]

Lövenich spoke at the 2011 Battle of Ideas, the annual conference of the Institute of Ideas, one of the core elements of the libertarian anti-environmental LM network. His biographical note on the Battle of Ideas website stated that:

Christoph Lövenich obtained a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Bonn University (Germany). In recent years, he has published primarily on lifestyle prohibition (smoking, eating, and drinking).

It did not mention his connections with pro-tobacco lobby groups.
