William Craig is a former unionist politician from Northern Ireland.

In 1972 he founded the unionist pressure group Ulster Vanguard, which was at the forefont of opposition to direct rule from London. From 1974 to 1978 Vanguard operated as a political party, the Vanguard Ulster Progressive Party.[1]

The organisation also had its own paramilitary wing, the Vanguard Service Corps, which later became the Ulster Volunteer Service Corps.W.D. Flackes, Sydney Elliot, Northern Ireland: A Political Directory 1968-88, Blackstaff Press, 1989,p.292.</ref>
