Thea Rogers was appointed as George Osborne's special adviser in 2012. The move follows the departure of the Chancellor's long-serving aide Poppy Mitchell-Rose. [1] He hired Rogers, a former producer for BBC political editor Nick Robinson, to manage his image. [2]
