Patricia Janet, Baroness Scotland of Asthal,QC (born 19 August 1955) is a British barrister, and served in many ministerial positions within the UK Government, most notably as the Attorney General for England and Wales and Advocate General for Northern Ireland.

  • Barrister and legal consultant, March 2011. Approved by ACOBA who saw "no reason why she should not return to practice forthwith, on the basis that, for 2 years from her last day in office, she should stand aside from dealing with any matter about which she had confidential or privileged information acquired while she was Attorney General, and that, for 12 months from the same date, she should not become personally involved in lobbying UK Government Ministers or Crown servants, including Special Advisers, on behalf of the clients she advises in her capacity as a consultant".[4]
