The Marcus Foundation is a grant making foundation which supports a number of Jewish and pro-Israel causes. The chairman of the foundation's board is Bernard (Bernie) Marcus co-founder and former CEO of Home Depot. Marcus is also the founder of the Israel Democracy Institute. His profile on the homepage of the IDI describes the foundation's foci as being: "Jewish causes, children, medical research, free enterprise, and the community".
The Marcus Foundation is a major donor to the Friends of the Israel Defence Forces.
