Land Operations was the title of the British Army manual of operations. It was last published in 1969/70. Revised versions in 1995 and 2001 were titled Army Field Manual.

Counter revolutionary operations

'Between the end of World War II and 1st January 1969, Britain's forces have had to undertake a wide variety of military commitments and only in Europe, after the formation of NATO, has there been real stability. Fifty three of these commitments have been operations of the counter revolutionary type with only Korea and the short Suez campaign falling outside this category'[1]
