In the 2010 election, Grogan failed to get re-elected, losing his seat to the Conservative MP [[Nigel Adams]]. As a result of this, he was given a payoff of £32,383 by the party. In the 2010 election, Grogan failed to get re-elected, losing his seat to the Conservative MP Nigel Adams. As a result of this, he was given a payoff of £32,383 by the party. However, for the upcoming general election in May 2015, Grogan has been recalled to the Labour Party to stand for the Selby constituency once again. [2]
