Currently she works as a Senior Research Scientist at Glevum Associates. Her expertise includes strategic communications, military-media and civil-military relations research, analysis, planning and assessment [1], and perception management [2].

Background

Ms. Siegel holds Bachelor’s degrees in History, Political Science and Journalism, as well as a Master’s degree in Political Science. She is also ABD in Political Science, her dissertation examining U.S. military-media relations since Vietnam. She has an extensive publication record, having several official studies and book chapters to her name, and in addition to this she has written articles to a range of journals. In particular her interest has been drawn to conflicts in Middle- East, see for example here, hereand here. Ms Siegel has taught in the French Army Academy, the American Military University, and the Pearson Peacekeeping Center in Canada.

In 1996 she founded an independent consultancy firm Insight Through Analysis where she is a senior analyst. She has also worked as a consultant for NATO’S Joint Analysis Team, a consultant at Strategic Social which is a company conducting "Cultural Analysis and Market Research to increase the customers’ ability to understand and predict behavior in populations of interest, and inform communication and engagement efforts" [3], as well as an author at West Point Combating Terrorism Center [4]. Ms. Siegel has also worked with the US military, serving in Bosnia [5].
