Andrew George was the Liberal Democrats member of Parliament (MP) for St Ives from 1997 to 2015.

George lost his seat in the 2015 general election to the Conservative Party's Derek Thomas by 2,469 votes.[1]

In Parliament, he has served as: Shadow Minister (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) 1997-05; Shadow Minister (Work and Pensions) 1999-01; Shadow Minister (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) 2002-05; and Shadow Secretary of State for International Development 2005-06.[2]
