Adrian Sanders was the Liberal Democrats member of Parliament (MP) for Torbay from 1997 to 2015.

Sanders lost his seat in the 2015 general election to the Conservative Party's Kevin Foster by 3,286 votes.[1]

His parliamentary career has included positions as:Shadow Spokesperson (Communities and Local Government) 1997-01, Opposition Whip (Commons) 1997-01, Shadow Spokesperson (Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) 1999-01, Shadow Spokesperson (Communities and Local Government) 2001-02, and Opposition Deputy Chief Whip (Commons) 2006-10.[2]
