Is an independent non-executive Director at St James's Place Group, appointed in May 1996. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee. He is Chairman of Greggs plc and his non-executive directorships outside the Group include Next plc and Hiscox plc. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and was formerly a director of J. Henry Schroder & Co Ltd.
