The GWPF have many views on renewable energy investment They believe that the recession which we have went through has had a massive impact for the development of the renewable energy industry, however, they do take into account that the government have tried to prevent the recession having an impact on the industry. The believe that the recession made it harder for companies who were in the process of needing financial investment to construct renewable energy projects. Furthermore, they argue that the industries labour and management should not be referred to as going “green jobs”. They feel that “factories and projects are pitched on the basis, not of their efficiency and profitability, but of adding jobs that "can never be outsourced." Tell that to the 3,000 Danes who are being laid off by wind turbine maker Vestas, or the Scots whose jobs are in jeopardy due to the financial problems of a smaller wind supplier, Skykon.”
