Nahum Bernstein
Nachum Bernstein was a US lawyer who acquired bugging, wiretapping and surveillance skills while working on insurance cases. During World War Two, he worked for the [[Office of Strategic Services, where he learnt the method of one-time pad encryption. In 1947, he was recruited to teach intelligence-gathering and cryptography to the Zionist Haganah militia.[1]
