Toward the elections for the Sixth Knesset, Mapai formed the Alignment with Ahdut Ha'avoda-Po'alei Zion (also known as Poale Zion). In 1968, toward the elections for the Seventh Knesset, Mapai established the Israel Labor Party with Ahdut Ha'avoda-Po'alei Zion and Rafi.[1]
