Simon Evans is a Miami-based sports reporter who works for Reuters news agency.[1]

History

Simon Evans was born in Burnley and supports the local team Burnley FC. He studied at Nelson and Colne College before moving on to take political science at Newcastle University between 1988 and 1991.[2]

Evans left the UK to work in Budapest covering Eastern European football. On leaving Hungary Evans moved to Italy in 1999 and worked in Milan for 8 years until 2007 covering Italian football and the Champions League. In 2007 he moved to Miami to cover North American sports.[3][4]
