The RAND Corporation Terrorism Incident Database is a database of terrorist incidents that occurred from 1998 onwards. It was developed in 2001 after RAND recieved funding from the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism. The new database formed part of the now discontinued Terrorism Knowledge Base.[1] Rand had earlier developed a database of international terrorism from 1968 called the RAND Terrorism Chronology Database, which was discontinued in 1998.[2]
