Stéphanie Pochon

Stéphanie Pochon is an Account Director at GPlus. She specialises in EU internal market issues, trade policy and strategic communications. She advises multinational clients in the food and transport sectors, as well as a leading European lottery group. She has significant experience engaging with EU decision-makers and the European media around key pieces of legislation.[1]


Background

Before joining GPlus, she worked for the European Commission where she was involved in the EU-Middle East trade debate, especially bilateral relations with Israel. She also gained experience of transatlantic trade relations.

Before coming to Brussels, Stéphanie spent time in the French Embassy in Washington DC. She was responsible for a perception audit which assessed opinions amongst journalists, officials and NGOs on French involvement in Kosovo. She was also part of the editorial team in the Press and Communication service which produced the Embassy’s bimonthly newsletters.[2]


She graduated from the College of Europe in Bruges and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Strasbourg. She also read business diplomacy at Georgetown University, Washington DC for a year. Stéphanie now teaches a seminar on EU lobbying at Sciences-po Paris. In addition to her native French, she is fluent in English and is learning Spanish.[3]
