Lord Evans of Temple Guiting, Matthew Evans (born 1941) is a life peer from the UK Labour Party. He was a government whip from 2002 until he left the government in September 2007.[1]

One month after leaving government he took up an advisory role to the London CEO of EFG Private Bank, where he is now chairman.[2]

In an investigation into interests of the House of Lords by the Wall Street Journal, Evans said he is no longer chairman of EFG Private Bank and no longer holds any position in the finance sector.[5]
