Jason Cowley (b. 1967) was appointed editor of The New Statesman in May 2008[1]. He previously edited the Observer Sport Monthly magazine, before joining literary magazine Granta in September last year. He was previously literary editor of the New Statesman and staff writer on the Times, and has been a Booker Prize judge.
