Conor Ryan

Conor Ryan is a former special adviser to the Labour Party.[1]

Background

Ryan was born in Dublin in 1963. From 1993 to 2001, Ryan was a senior adviser to the Secretary of State for Education and Employment David Blunkett. He then worked as a freelance writer and commentator, before returning in 2005 to a special adviser role for the Prime Minister’s Policy Directorate where he was Tony Blair's senior education adviser until 2007.[2] From 2007-2012 he worked as a writer and consultant for newspapers such as the Independent, the Guardian and the Daily Mail. He is now Director of Research and Communications at The Sutton Trust.[3]
