Clare Harkin

Clare Harkin is a conflict resolution consultant who has worked with the private military company Erinys International.

Clare is a development specialist with experience in a variety of sectors: government, non government, commercial and multi-national organisations. She has assessed the financial viability of commercial undertakings of business initiatives in Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union but latterly has been focussed on those countries emerging from conflict. She has particular expertise in governance and conflict reduction (including issues relevant to security sector transformation and small arms reduction) which are vital to the success of any national/ international intervention enabling social, economic and political development. Clare was instrumental in establishing the UK Government’s Post Conflict Reconstruction Unit (now the Stabilisation Unit). She is a Russian speaker and also an expert in civil military response during humanitarian operations. Clare joined Erinys as the Sustainable Security Development Consultant in Nigeria.
