Ann Gloag

Ann Souter Gloag McCleary is a Scottish business woman, and patron of the Scottish North American Business Council. She retains Media House International for PR. Its executive chairman Jack Irvine is a former board member of SNABC. She is also a member of the Entrepreneurial Exchange. Gloag was listed tenth in the Sunday Times Rich List in 2003.

She is the sister of Brian Souter. Born Ann Heron Souter in 1942 (see [1]), she was formerly a burns unit sister.

She founded what became the Stagecoach Group in October 1980 with her brother and then-husband, Robin Gloag. Her involvement in Stagecoach has diminished in recent years, although she remains a non-executive director.

Gloag also has investments outside Stagecoach Group with her brother, including bus builder Alexander Dennis and regional airline Scot Airways. She also devotes a significant amount of her time to charity interests, including supprt for Mercy Ships.

Gloag has owned Beaufort Castle near Inverness since 1995, and Kinfauns Castle, near Perth since 2004.
